Savory Sausage Twists with a Sweet and Spicy Pepper Jelly Glaze


🔹️Ingredients:


1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup pepper jelly

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Flour, for dusting


Directions:


Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out any creases.

Cut the puff pastry into strips, approximately 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.

In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage, pepper jelly, and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.

Place a tablespoon of the sausage mixture at one end of each puff pastry strip.

Fold the pastry over the filling and twist it to create a spiral shape. Press the ends to seal.

Arrange the twists on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown and puffed up.
