Cheesy Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes


Ingredients:


For the Sloppy Joes:

- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey for a lighter version)

- 1 small onion, chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 cup ketchup

- 1 tablespoon mustard

- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- 1 tablespoon brown sugar

- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


For the Garlic Bread:

- 4 slices of thick-cut bread (French bread, sandwich bread, or your choice)

- 4 tablespoons butter, softened

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Directions:


**Step 1: Make the Sloppy Joe Filling**  

1️⃣ In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.  

2️⃣ Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened.  

3️⃣ Stir in the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens. Set aside.


**Step 2: Prepare the Garlic Bread**  

4️⃣ Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).  

5️⃣ Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice.  

6️⃣ Sprinkle the minced garlic and dried parsley (if using) evenly over the buttered side.  

7️⃣ Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.


**Step 3: Add the Cheese**  

8️⃣ Remove the garlic bread from the oven and sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over each slice.  

9️⃣ Return the bread to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.


**Step 4: Assemble the Sloppy Joes**  

🔟 Spoon the sloppy joe mixture generously over each slice of cheesy garlic bread.


**Step 5: Serve**
