Cheese Sauce for Fries 🧀🍟🥄

 



Ingredients:

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup whole milk

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions:

Make a Roux:


In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk constantly for about 1-2 minutes, until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.

Add Milk: Slowly whisk in the milk and continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

Add Cheese and Seasonings: Lower the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Serve:


Pour the cheese sauce over hot, crispy fries and enjoy!
