Lamington


 Hey guys I have a Lamington recipe to share with yous🌸❤️😍

Ingredients:


2 and half cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoon baking powder

Half teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cup granulated sugar

4 large eggs

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup milk

For the Chocolate Coating:


6 cups powdered sugar

2/3 cup cocoa powder

1 cup milk

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Now it's time to gather:


3–4 cups desiccated coconut

Instructions:


Prepare the Cake:


Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch square cake pan with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.

Gradually add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, mixing until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool completely, then cut it into 16 equal squares.

Make the Chocolate Coating:


In a medium bowl, sift together the powdered sugar and cocoa powder.

Add the milk and melted butter, stirring until smooth and glossy.

Gather the Lamingtons:


Place the desiccated coconut in a shallow dish.

Using a fork , dip each cake square into the chocolate coating, ensuring all sides are covered. Allow the excess to drip off.

Roll the coated cake square in the desiccated coconut, pressing gently to coat all sides. Place on a wire rack to set.

Serve:

Let the lamingtons set for about 30 minutes before serving.
