Juicy Mushroom Burger with Creamy Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Burger:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Mushroom Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp thyme (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly:
2 brioche buns
Lettuce leaves
Optional: cheese slice
Instructions:
Prepare the Patties
Mix ground beef with salt and black pepper.
Shape into patties and set aside.
Cook the Mushrooms:
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Set half aside for topping.
Make the Sauce:
Add heavy cream to the skillet with remaining mushrooms.
Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.
Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
Cook the Burger Patties:
Heat olive oil in another skillet.
Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side (medium doneness) or to your preference.
Assemble the Burger:
Toast the brioche buns.
Layer lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the patty.
Top with mushroom sauce, the reserved sautéed mushrooms, and the top bun.
