Herb-Seasoned Pork Chops with Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Broccoli, and Croissant
Ingredients:
For the Pork Chops:
4 boneless pork chops
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Mashed Potatoes:
4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Corn Topping:
1 cup sweet corn kernels
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
For the Broccoli:
2 cups broccoli florets
Salt, to taste
For the Croissant:
4 freshly baked croissants (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Pork Chops:
Rub pork chops with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Remove and let rest.
2. Make the Mashed Potatoes:
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Drain and mash potatoes. Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
3. Sauté the Corn:
Heat the corn in a skillet with a small amount of butter. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with parsley.
4. Steam the Broccoli:
Steam broccoli florets for 5-7 minutes, or until tender. Season with a pinch of salt.
5. Warm the Croissants:
If needed, warm the croissants in the oven for 5 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
6. Assemble the Plate:
Place pork chops on the plate alongside mashed potatoes topped with corn, steamed broccoli, and a croissant.
