Chicken Lazone

 Chicken Lazone

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1/2 tsp dried thyme

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

Season the chicken: Mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides generously with the spice mixture.

Cook the chicken: Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and the oil is hot, add the chicken to the skillet. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits left from the chicken. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes, until it starts to thicken slightly.

Add Parmesan: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Return the chicken: Place the cooked chicken back into the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let it simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes to heat the chicken through and allow the flavors to meld together.

Serve:

Serve the Chicken Lazone over rice, pasta, or alongside roasted vegetables. Garnish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan, if desired.

This creamy, slightly spicy dish is rich and comforting—perfect for a weeknight dinner!
