Cheesy Garlic Shrimp Bread Bowl 🦐🍞

A luxurious bread bowl filled with creamy, cheesy garlic shrimp—perfect for indulging in bold, comforting flavors with a gourmet twist!

Ingredients:

For the Bread Bowl:

1 large sourdough bread loaf

2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)

For the Filling:

½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare the Bread Bowl:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut the top off the sourdough loaf and hollow out the center, leaving enough bread to create a sturdy bowl.

Brush the inside of the bread bowl with olive oil or melted butter and bake for 10 minutes to lightly toast.

2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp:

Season the shrimp with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in the heavy cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is thickened.

Add red pepper flakes (if desired) and fresh parsley. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.

4️⃣ Assemble the Bread Bowl:

Pour the creamy garlic sauce into the toasted bread bowl. Arrange the cooked shrimp on top and sprinkle with additional mozzarella or Parmesan for extra cheesiness.

5️⃣ Bake:

Return the filled bread bowl to the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden on top.

6️⃣ Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Pair with a crisp side salad or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal.
