Stuffed Lasagna Roll-Ups 🍝🧀

Ingredients:
12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
1 ½ cups ricotta cheese
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce and Meat:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or sausage over medium heat until browned.
Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Stir in the marinara sauce and season with basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes.
Prepare the Cheese Filling:
In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg. Stir to combine.
Assemble the Roll-Ups:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce at the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
On each lasagna noodle, spread a generous layer of ricotta cheese mixture, then roll it up tightly. Place each roll-up seam-side down in the baking dish.
Top and Bake:
Pour the remaining meat sauce over the top of the roll-ups.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Tips:
You can add sautéed spinach or mushrooms to the ricotta filling for extra flavor.
For a creamier dish, add a bit of heavy cream to the marinara sauce before pouring over the rolls.
