🍇 Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring 🥐🍇
Ingredients:
1 tube crescent rolls
4 oz chive and onion cream cheese, softened
1 ½ tbsp Dijon mustard
3 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary or thyme (divided)
2 cups shredded Gruyere cheese (divided)
1 lb thinly sliced turkey (leftover or deli)
1 (14 oz) can whole berry cranberry sauce
2 tbsp butter, melted
½ tsp poppy seeds
½ tsp granulated garlic
¼ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven and Prep Pan:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
Separate the crescent dough and arrange the triangles in a circle on the prepared baking sheet. The wide ends should overlap, forming a ring with the points facing outward.
Make the Filling:
In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and 1 tsp of rosemary or thyme.
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the wide ends of the crescent rolls.
Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Gruyere cheese over the cream cheese mixture.
Layer Turkey and Cranberry:
Arrange the sliced turkey on top of the cheese, slightly overlapping.
Spread half of the cranberry sauce over the turkey, then top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese.
Form the Crescent Ring:
Bring the narrow ends of the crescent dough over the filling and tuck them under the wide ends to create a secure ring.
Top and Bake:
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, poppy seeds, granulated garlic, and salt.
Brush this mixture generously over the crescent dough.
Bake for 22-24 minutes, or until the crescent ring is golden and crispy.
Finish and Serve:
Let the crescent ring rest for 5 minutes on the baking sheet.
Sprinkle with the remaining rosemary or thyme.
Slice and serve with extra cranberry sauce on the side.
This festive and flavorful dish is perfect for any holiday gathering! 🎄🦃🍽️
