Ingredients
8 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
8 oz block of feta cheese, cut into sticks (about 1/2 inch thick)
2-3 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil (for brushing)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Chili Honey
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Feta Rolls:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with melted butter or olive oil.
Place a second sheet on top of the first and brush it again.
Place a stick of feta cheese at the edge of the phyllo sheet and roll it up tightly, folding in the sides as you go to seal the edges.
Repeat with the remaining phyllo and feta sticks.
Bake the Rolls:
Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.
Brush the tops with more melted butter or olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden and crispy.
Prepare the Chili Honey:
In a small saucepan, warm the honey over low heat and add the red pepper flakes. Stir to combine, then remove from heat.
Serve:
Drizzle the chili honey over the warm feta rolls and garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired.
