Classic Roast Turkey

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 whole turkey (10-12 pounds)

    • 1 cup butter, softened

    • Salt and pepper to taste

    • Fresh rosemary, thyme, and sage (a handful each)

    • 1 lemon, halved

    • 1 onion, quartered

  • Instructions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    2. Rub the turkey inside and out with butter, salt, and pepper.
    3. Stuff the cavity with lemon, onion, and herbs.
    4. Roast for 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
    5. Let it rest before carving.
