🎄🎅Classic Eggnog🎅🎄
Ingredients:
4 large eggs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg (plus more for garnish)
1/2 to 1 cup rum or bourbon (to taste)
Whipped cream (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Whisk the Eggs: In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until they are pale and frothy. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to whisk until well combined.
Combine Ingredients: Stir in the milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
Add Alcohol: If using, stir in the rum or bourbon.
Chill: Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld and chill.
Serve: Pour into glasses, sprinkle with additional nutmeg, and top with whipped cream if desired.
Tips:
For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the alcohol.
Feel free to adjust the spices and sweetness to your taste."
I like to add a peppermint stick just because it looks more festive and it tastes yummy 😋
