Breakfast Burger Recipe
**Ingredients** (Serves 2):
- **2 burger buns** (toasted)
- **2 beef patties** (or substitute with sausage patties)
- **2 slices of cheese** (cheddar, American, or your choice)
- **2 fried eggs**
- **4 strips of bacon** (crispy)
- **1/4 cup hash browns** (optional, cooked)
- **1 tablespoon butter**
- **2 tablespoons mayonnaise**
- **1 tablespoon ketchup** (optional)
- **1 tablespoon maple syrup** (optional, for a sweet touch)
**Instructions**:
1. **Prepare the bacon**:
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel.
2. **Cook the patties**:
- In the same skillet, cook the beef or sausage patties over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side or until fully cooked. Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute to melt.
3. **Make the fried eggs**:
- Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny (or cook to your preferred doneness).
4. **Assemble the burger**:
- Spread mayonnaise (and ketchup, if using) on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
- Add the hash browns (if using) as the base layer.
- Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top.
- Add 2 strips of crispy bacon.
- Top with the fried egg.
- Drizzle with maple syrup for a sweet touch, if desired.
- Cover with the top bun.
5. **Serve immediately**:
- Press the burger slightly to let the yolk ooze for extra flavor. Enjoy with a side of fruit or coffee for a hearty breakfast!
