Ingredients

2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 pounds)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

For Homemade BBQ Sauce (optional):

1 cup ketchup

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

¼ cup brown sugar

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Prepare the Ribs:

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Prepare Ribs:

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Bake the Ribs:

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with foil and bake for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender.

Make BBQ Sauce (if making homemade):

In a saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer over low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Glaze the Ribs:

After baking, remove the foil and brush a generous layer of BBQ sauce over the ribs. Return to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.

Finish:

Once glazed, remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
