Adorable, spooky Rice Krispie treat ghosts – perfect for Halloween! These no-bake treats are easy to make and fun to decorate with kids.
Ingredients:
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10 oz mini marshmallows
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
White candy melts or white chocolate (for coating)
Mini chocolate chips or black decorating gel (for eyes and mouth)
Directions:
Grease a 9x13-inch pan and set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract if using.
Quickly add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until fully coated.
Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan using a spatula or wax paper.
Let the Rice Krispie mixture cool completely, then use a ghost-shaped cookie cutter to cut out ghost shapes.
Melt the white candy melts or white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
Dip each ghost-shaped treat into the melted candy, coating completely. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Use mini chocolate chips or decorating gel to create eyes and a mouth on each ghost. Let the candy coating set before serving.
