Fried Cabbage with Shrimp & Sausage 🥬🍤

 


This dish brings together the smoky, savory flavors of sausage and shrimp with tender cabbage for a comforting, hearty meal that’s perfect for family dinners. The bold flavors will remind you of home!


 Ingredients: 

- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped

- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


 Directions: 


1. Cook the Sausage:   

   In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.


2. Sauté the Shrimp:   

   In the same skillet, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp and set aside.


3. Cook the Cabbage:   

   Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender but still has a slight crisp.


4. Combine and Serve:   

   Return the cooked sausage and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.


5. Garnish:   

   Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
