Creamy Chicken Pasta 🍗
Ingredients:
2 Chicken breasts
1.5 cups of Chicken broth
2 tbsp Flour
0.5 tsp Garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1-2 tbsp Olive oil
3 tbsp Butter
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1.25 cups Half and half
0.5 Chicken bouillon cube
1/3 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup Grated Romano cheese
0.5 lb. Pasta of choice
1 Lemon (optional)
0.5 tsp each of Onion powder, Garlic salt, Oregano, Basil, Mustard powder, and Parsley (all dried)
1/8 tsp Smoked paprika
Instructions:
Prepare Seasoned Chicken: Combine half and half, chicken broth, garlic powder, and all dried seasonings in a bowl. Set aside.
Season and Sear Chicken: Halve chicken breasts lengthwise. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then dust with flour. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high and sear chicken 3-4 minutes per side until golden. Rest for 10 minutes and slice.
Cook Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta to al dente; reserve a cup of pasta water. Drain.
Make Creamy Sauce: In the skillet, deglaze with chicken broth, add butter and garlic, cooking for 1 minute. Stir in flour for 2 more minutes.
Blend and Simmer: Slowly add prepared half and half mixture, stirring constantly. Add bouillon cube. Simmer until thickened.
Combine Chicken and Cheese: Return chicken to skillet, add Parmesan and Romano cheeses, and stir until melted and creamy.
Mix Pasta and Sauce: Toss pasta with sauce, add lemon juice if using.
Serve: Garnish with extra Parmesan or parsley. Serve hot.
