Ingredients:
500 g ground beef
1 small onion, finely diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 egg
½ cup (50 g) breadcrumbs
1 tsp soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp water
For the Creamy Drizzle:
3 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp Greek yogurt or sour cream
1 tsp lemon juice
Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
1. Prepare Meatballs:
In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Shape into small balls.
2. Cook Meatballs:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with a little oil. Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and fully cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and minced garlic. Stir and bring to a simmer. Add the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
4. Coat Meatballs:
Return the cooked meatballs to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the honey garlic sauce.
5. Prepare the Drizzle:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, and lemon juice until smooth.
6. Assemble and Garnish:
Transfer the meatballs to a serving bowl. Drizzle with the creamy sauce and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm.
