Ingredients:
1 lb beef (sirloin, flank steak, or other tender cut), thinly sliced
1/2 head cabbage, chopped into 1-inch pieces
1 small onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp vegetable oil or sesame oil
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the beef:
In a bowl, combine the beef, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside to marinate for 15 minutes.
2. Cook the beef:
Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
3. Cook the vegetables:
Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the cabbage and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.
4. Combine and finish:
Return the beef to the pan. Add the remaining 2 tbsp soy sauce, oyster sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until everything is heated through and well combined.
5. Serve:
Serve the stir-fry hot with rice.
