Reuben Pastry Squares 🥪🥐
Ingredients:
2 cups thinly sliced cooked corned beef
1 cup sauerkraut, drained
1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
1 large potato, thinly sliced
1 sheet puff pastry
1 egg, for egg wash
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle. Lightly score the pastry into squares without cutting all the way through.
Layer the Ingredients: On each square, layer slices of corned beef, potato, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling slightly to encase the ingredients.
Egg Wash and Bake: Brush the top of the pastry with beaten egg to give it a golden sheen. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the baked pastry for a fresh, herby finish.
