Classic Beef Stroganoff over Egg Noodles – Comfort Food at Its Finest 🍲🌿
Ingredients:
500g beef chuck, cut into bite-sized pieces
300g egg noodles
1 onion, finely chopped
250g mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
500 ml beef broth
200 ml sour cream
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
Brown the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef with salt and pepper, and sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the onions and mushrooms, cooking until they are soft. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Make the Sauce: Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir to coat. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly, until the mixture starts to thicken. Reduce the heat to low and return the beef to the skillet.
Simmer: Let the beef and sauce simmer gently for about 10 minutes or until the beef is tender. Stir in the sour cream and heat through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
Serve over Noodles: Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and serve the beef stroganoff over the noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.
